YOUR FILES. YOUR BUSINESS.

Your images stay yours.

Compression happens on your device. Your images are not uploaded to our servers.

What happens when you choose an image

Your browser reads the file you select, validates it, and uses browser image decoders and Canvas to process it in memory. The preview and download use local Blob URLs. The compressor does not send the image, its name, its contents or its metadata over the network.

Files and storage

We do not store selected images in a database, browser local storage or cookies. Images and results remain in the current page’s memory until you replace them, clear the tool or close the page. Downloaded images are saved wherever your browser saves files, and remain on your device until you delete them. The tool does not automatically delete your original file.

Website requests and hosting

Your browser still requests the website’s HTML, scripts and styles from the hosting service. The host may process ordinary access information such as an IP address, requested URL and browser headers to deliver and secure the website. Those requests do not contain selected image files. When deployed on Vercel, its hosting policies also apply.

Analytics and advertising

This version has no connected analytics service, advertising provider or tracking cookies. Advertisement areas are placeholders. An internal event abstraction is prepared for future analytics and currently sends nothing. It accepts event names only, with no image data or metadata.

If analytics or advertising is added later, this policy must be updated to describe the actual provider, data collection and applicable consent choices before activation.

Formats and metadata

Re-encoding an image may remove embedded metadata such as camera settings or location. This is not a dedicated metadata-removal tool: when the original file is already smaller, the tool may preserve it unchanged, including its metadata. Do not rely on compression to remove sensitive metadata.

Your choices

You control the target size, conversion format and download. JPG conversion fills transparent areas with white. PNG is not silently converted. Use Compress Another Image to release the current previews, or close the page when you are finished.
